Manually Create a Leave Request in HRM
Submit a leave entry for any employee — useful for HR overrides, backdated corrections, or centralised leave logging.
🔐 Access Control
- Only Admin users or HR staff with leave creation permissions can manually create leave
- This action bypasses employee self-service and logs leave directly into the system
🧭 Step-by-Step: Create Leave Manually
1️⃣ Navigate to Leave Management
- From the Dashboard, use the side menu: HRM → Manage Leave
2️⃣ Click Create
- In the top-right corner of the Manage Leave screen, click the ➕ Create button
- This opens the Create Leave form
3️⃣ Fill in Leave Details
Complete all required fields:
- Employee*: Select the employee from the dropdown
- Leave Type*: Choose from
Casual Leave,Medical Leave,Annual Leave, etc. - Start Date*: Select the first day of leave
- End Date*: Select the last day of leave
- Leave Reason*: Enter a brief explanation (e.g.
Family Emergency,Medical Procedure) - Remark*: Add any internal notes or context (e.g.
Approved by HR,Backdated entry)
⚠️ All fields marked with * are mandatory — the form cannot be submitted without them
4️⃣ Submit the Leave
- Click Create to save the leave request
- The system will:
- Add the leave to the Manage Leave table
- Set the initial Status to
Pending - Make the entry available for approval, rejection, or editing

- Use manual creation for HR overrides, missed submissions, or backdated leave
- Always confirm leave dates and type before submitting
- Use consistent language in Leave Reason and Remark for audit clarity
- Avoid duplicate entries — check the Manage Leave table before creating
- Use the Search bar to verify existing leave records
