🧭 Step-by-Step: Add a Leave Type

1️⃣ Open Leave Type Setup

  • Navigate to the Leave Type section under System Setup
  • Click the βž• icon to open the β€œCreate Leave Type” form

2️⃣ Enter Leave Details

  • Title*: Enter the leave category name β€” UK-relevant examples include:
    • Annual Leave β€” statutory entitlement (typically 28 days incl. bank holidays)
    • Sick Leave β€” short-term illness or medical recovery
    • Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Adoption Leave β€” legally protected family leave
    • Unpaid Leave, Compassionate Leave, Emergency Dependent Leave
    • Casual Leave, Study Leave, Jury Service, Public Duties
  • Days Per Year*: Enter the annual entitlement (e.g. 28, 5, 0 for unpaid)

  • Click Create to add the leave category
  • The new entry will appear in the list with action icons:
