Add a Payslip Type in HRM

Define payslip formats to match your payroll frequency — supporting hourly, weekly, monthly, and annual salary structures for different roles and contracts.

🔐 Access Control

  • Only Admin users or staff with HRM setup permissions can add or edit payslip types
  • From the Dashboard, use the side menu to navigate: HRM → System Setup → Payslip Type

🧭 Step-by-Step: Add a Payslip Type

1️⃣ Open Payslip Type Setup

  • Navigate to the Payslip Type section under System Setup
  • Click the ➕ icon to open the “Create Payslip Type” form

2️⃣ Enter Payslip Type Name

  • Name*: Enter the payslip format — UK-relevant examples include:
    • Hourly Payslip — for zero-hour contracts or shift-based roles
    • Weekly Payslip — common in trades, cleaning, logistics, and care sectors
    • Monthly Payslip — standard for salaried staff
    • Yearly Payslip — used for directors or annual contract summaries
    • Optional: Fortnightly, Project-Based, Commission-Based

Use names that reflect your actual payroll cycle and contract structure.

3️⃣ Save the Payslip Type

  • Click Create to add the payslip format
  • The new entry will appear in the list with action icons:
    • 🖊️ Edit
    • 🗑️ Delete

  • Use Weekly for care homes, cleaning, and logistics staff
  • Use Monthly for admin, finance, and salaried roles
  • Review payslip types quarterly to reflect new contract models
