Transfer Products Between Warehouses
Move stock from one warehouse to another — with full control over quantity, product selection, and transfer history.
🔐 Access Control
- Only Admin users or staff with warehouse transfer permissions can perform transfers
- From the Dashboard, use the side menu to navigate: Purchases → Transfer
🧭 Step-by-Step Warehouse Transfer
Click + Create Transfer to open the form.
Required Fields:
- From Warehouse*: Select the source location
- To Warehouse*: Select the destination location
- Product*: Choose the item to transfer (must be pre-listed in inventory)
- Quantity*: Enter the number of units to move
- Date: Defaults to today — can be backdated for reconciliation
Click Create to finalise the transfer. The system will:
- Deduct quantity from the From Warehouse
- Add quantity to the To Warehouse
- Log the transfer for audit and reporting
📋 Viewing Transfer History
- All transfers are listed in the Warehouse Transfer table
- Use filters to search by warehouse, product, or date
- Export logs for audit or inventory reconciliation

- Always verify stock levels before initiating a transfer
- Use consistent naming for warehouses and products
- Review transfer logs monthly for discrepancies
- Avoid transferring expired, damaged, or restricted items
- Use sector-fit descriptions (e.g.
Cleaning Supplies,Care Home Stock,Logistics Pallets) - Link transfers to purchase or usage records for traceability
