Configuring POS Settings

Set your low stock threshold to trigger inventory alerts and maintain product availability.

🧭 Step 1: Access POS Settings

  • From your dashboard, go to System Settings
  • Click into the POS Settings section — this controls inventory alert logic for your Point of Sale module

📉 Step 2: Set Low Stock Threshold

Field Example Purpose
Low Product Stock Threshold 1 Triggers a low-stock alert when product quantity falls below this number

Tip:

  • Set this based on your sector’s restocking rhythm
    • Retail: 5–10
    • Cleaning supplies: 2–3
    • Logistics: 1 (for critical parts)

🔔 How It Works

  • When a product’s stock drops below the threshold:
    • It’s flagged in the POS dashboard
    • You can trigger restock workflows or notify procurement

💾 Step 3: Save Changes

  • Click the blue Save Changes button at the bottom right
  • Your threshold will apply instantly across the POS inventory tracking

✅ Best Practices

  • Review thresholds monthly or per season
  • Use higher thresholds for fast-moving or critical items
  • Pair with email or dashboard alerts for proactive restocking
  • Align thresholds with supplier lead times and delivery schedules
